The Hawkeyes are ranked No. 16 overall in the first college football playoff rankings of the 2018 season.
Week 10 College Football Playoff Rankings:

16. Iowa
17. Texas
18. Mississippi State

Alabama is the No. 1 team overall, followed by Clemson at No. 2, LSU at No. 3 and Notre Dame at No. 4. Michigan rounds out the top five.
In the top 10 we have Georgia, Oklahoma, Washington State, Kentucky and Ohio State. Washington State beating out OSU is fun and good!
These rankings are also fun and good, but also mean very little for Iowa. And teams that aren’t in the top-4 more or less. But rankings are fun, and as long as Iowa continues to win (or starts to win again) the Hawkeyes will be in these rankings for the remainder of the year.
