Ah, weekly depth chart releases: the small hit of Iowa football that tides us over until Tuesday.
Let’s forget about that clumsy sentence and look at this week’s offense:

And the defense:

And the notes:
- No changes to the offense by my eye. Ivory Kelly-Martin is RB1, Toren Young and Mekhi Sargent are behind him and Austin Kelly is our fullback while Brady Ross nurses his wounds.
- On the defensive side, Nick Niemann is back to starting at outside linebacker after being on a perceived pitch count against Maryland. Jack Hockaday is also back after missing a couple weeks. It’s reassuring to have some more linebackers return against an offense as potent as Penn State.
- True freshmen Riley Moss and Julius Brents are still our starting corners. Moss seemed to ... turn a corner against Maryland, though comparing Kasim Hill and Trace McSorley is not fair. I have no idea what the extent of injury is to Matt Hankins or Michael Ojemudia and I suspect we’ll hear more tomorrow.
- Annnnnd that’s kind of it! This is a healthier two-deep than we’ve seen the last couple weeks which is reassuring when we get to this part of the season. Did I miss anything?
