After a couple 11 a.m. start times, which are the best start times in collegiate football, it looks like Iowa will be going back to a 2:30 p.m. kickoff for their game in State College. These are unequivocally the worst of the start times if we’re all being honest with ourselves.
Iowa's road game at Penn State on Saturday, Oct. 27, will kickoff at 2:30 pm (CT) and will be televised on either ABC or ESPN. #Hawkeyes

It looks like this is expected to be one of the premier games in the time slot in a couple of weeks, as the folks at Disney who decide such things are looking to televise the game on their two flagship channels. My best guess? If both teams win this next week to maintain their Top-25 rankings, the game will be played on ABC. If one (or neither) of the teams come out victorious, it’ll be on ESPN. With Indiana and Maryland on the docket for the Nittany Lions and Hawks, respectively, both teams should find themselves on the winning side of their contests.
This game could be the first time both teams come into this game ranked since 2010, when #17 Iowa defeated #22 Penn State 24-3 under the lights at Kinnick. As you might’ve heard, that’s also the last time the Hawks were able to defeat Penn State. Here’s hoping we can get a repeat of that.
