Another week of NFL play is in the books, and once again, some of your favorite former Iowa Hawkeyes were right in the thick of the Sunday action. Here is what their hard work yielded in Week 3:

George Kittle, Tight End, 49ers

George was targeted three times but only hauled in one catch for eight yards in a 41-39 loss to the Rams. His production has been minimal thus far, as it’s starting to look like this offense does not rely on the tight end position very much in the passing game.

Micah Hyde, Cornerback, Bills

Micah was in on five tackles and defended one pass, helping Buffalo to a 26-16 upset win over the Broncos.

Adrian Clayborn, Defensive Tackle, Falcons

Adrian had two tackles, a sack and knocked down a pass in Atlanta’s exciting 30-26 win over the Detroit Lions. He’s having himself a nice season early on.

Christian Kirksey, Linebacker, Browns

Once again, Kirksey was one of few bright spots for Cleveland. He got in on five tackles, logged half a sack, defended a pass and recovered a fumble in a 31-28 loss to the Colts.

Desmond King, Defensive Back, Chargers

King had a decent Sunday afternoon in a 24-10 loss to the Chiefs. He logged three tackles and returned three kicks for a total of 64 yards.

LINEMAN LOVE

Riley Reiff, Offensive Tackle, Vikings

Riley was part of an offensive line that allowed the Minnesota offense to put up 494 total yards against what was thought to be a stout Tampa Bay defense. Additionally, they kept quarterback Case Keenum clean all and upright all day, not allowing a single sack in Minnesota’s 24-10 win.

Brandon Scherff, Guard, Redskins

In one of the bigger surprises of the weekend, Scherff and the Washington line helped bulldoze the Raider defense to the tune of 472 offensive yards in a dominating 27-10 performance by the Redskins.
