IOWA-PENN STATE SLATED FOR PRIMETIME

WHO’S READY FOR SOME #B1GAFTERDARK

No. 5-ranked Penn State comes to Iowa City in two weeks. And when the Hawkeyes take on the Lions, the game will be played under the lights.

The game will be on ABC, and we all know and love how Iowa is apt to play spoiler by cover of darkness in Kinnick Stadium.

Iowa’s last few contests against Penn State haven’t been, uh, great, but I love the move here. Face Penn State with momentum and throw everything we got at ‘em in week four of the season in primetime.

There are also rumors that Iowa City could become a destination for college gameday in this game. Its largest competitors for that honor would be Oklahoma State-TCU, Stanford-UCLA, and maybe Colorado-Washington? If you ask me, there’s a strong chance we could see Lee Corso in Iowa City. Let’s not talk about the last time Gameday was on the Pentacrest, though. (Actually, gameday was on the lawn by the IMU then, was it not?)

The Black and Gold striping under the lights at Kinnick is a special kind of atmosphere. Let’s show Penn State what this team is all about.
