Iowa’s Nate Stanley is sharing Big Ten offensive player of the week honors after his GUTSY performance against Iowa State.

Stanley completed 27-of-41 pass attempts for 333 yards and five touchdowns in a thrilling 44-41 overtime win over the Cyclones. He threw no interceptions, and Stanley’s scoring passes covered 10, 17, 15, 46 and 5 yards, while nine Hawkeyes had at least one reception. Four of his scoring drives were of at least 89 yards.
The Badgers’ Jonathan Taylor had 223 rushing yards and 3 touchdowns, so Stanley is in good company here.

The Hornung Award is presented by the Louisville Sports Commission to the most versatile player in major college football. So that’s pretty neat.
