WATCH: IOWA FOOTBALL’S PINK LOCKER ROOM GETS ITS OWN FS1 PROMO

PINK IS THE WARMEST COLOR

YouTube/FoxSports

Who’s ready for some football?

We have been for like, eight months, but this new promo for FS1 has got us feeling all types of things.

As I’m sure you know, there’s gonna be more than a few Big Ten games on FS1 this season. They have the rights to the Iowa-Nebraska game now. Gus Johnson? You bet.

So FS1 rolled up a series of promos for their B1G TV rights this fall. You got one with Jump Around, and Minnesota Nice and corn.

Narrated by Michael Kelly (Doug Stamper of House of Cards acclaim), the spots seem to be part of an ongoing advertising campaign for FS1, spearheaded by advertising agency Wieden + Kennedy.

W+K is regarded as one of the best ad agency’s on the planet (they’re behind virtually every Nike ad you’ve ever seen) so you bet Fox is doubling down on its new college football rights here. W+K used to be the agency of record for ESPN, but now Fox seems to have picked them up.

That might be a little too Inside Baseball for a sweet promo, but I find it interesting, and I’ve got the keyboard.

ANYWAY, back to the pink locker room. I love it. We all should. Last year, I gave Iowa roughly a zero percent shot at beating Michigan. Then when I saw the Wolverines covered the locker room with newspaper and other Michigan paraphernalia, I knew we had a great chance to win. Harbaugh over-thought it, and spent too much damn time pondering pink urinals.

Wins aren’t easy to come by, and if a pink locker room gets you one, then it’s worth it.
