Iowa starting cornerback Manny Rugamba has been suspended from playing in the season opener against Wyoming for violating team rules.
Manny Rugamba suspended for game 1. Violation of team rules

It’s obviously unknown which team rules he violated, but if it’s just one game, I’m not sure it’s something we should be terribly worried about.
At least Iowa isn’t playing against a potential first-round NFL draft pick at quarterback in this game.
*looks at schedule*
Oh.
ANYWAY, that probably leaves Michael Ojemudia and Josh Jackson as our starting corners for the game.
Michael Ojemudia will start vs. Wyoming. Matt Hankins would be #3 corner at this point. https://t.co/15szBGI9fa

Hankins is a true freshman who’s been turning some heads in practice. It could fair to assume that the coaches may have known about this looming suspension, and that’s why Hankins has been getting so many reps in practice.
After those three at corner, we have Cedric Boswell, who cracked the two-deeps a month ago. We’ll know for certain in a week, when the depth chart for Wyoming is released.
Kirk: No QB yet. Will name one by Monday.
