Iowa football is doing its best to curb our insatiable appetites as the season looms. It seems we can expect a 15 minute video once or week a so of Iowa players mic’d up during a practice.
Last week we had a video focusing on the running backs, and this week we have the freshmen. Specifically, Ihmir Smith-Marsette, AJ Epenesa and Tristan Wirfs.
These videos are really entertaining to watch, and give us some glimpses into what the makeup of this football team could look like on Saturday’s. At a quick glance, Smith-Marsette is getting at least some reps with the No. 1 offense, Epenesa is working out on the interior and exterior of the defensive line and Wirfs is very large.
We always knew that freshmen could play a large role on this team, and now we’re getting a firsthand look at how that prediction may come to fruition.
