Former Iowa quarterback C.J. Beathard signed his rookie contract with the San Francisco 49ers yesterday.
C.J. Beathard just signed four-year deal.

Terms of the deal were not disclosed, but Over the Cap can speculate pretty closely as to what he’ll be earning due to the rookie wage scale:
Signing bonus: $706,284
2017 base: $465,000
2018 base: $555,000
2019 base: $645,000
2020 base: $735,000
We don’t know incentives or anything, but that would make his deal worth roughly $3.1 million. In general, this is a slightly generous contract, and really solid signing bonus for a guy drafted in the third round. But Kyle Shanahan and John Lynch have voiced their love for CJB early and often, so you have to think they think they have at the very least a solid No. 2 QB, and a possible starter here with Beathard.
Anyway, congrats to CJ, we look forward to seeing you tear up the NFL the same way you tore up the Big Ten.
