Well, Hawkeye fans, today should be the last time you see Thomas Gilman, Cory Clark, Topher Carton, Alex Meyer, and Sammy Brooks wrestle inside Carver-Hawkeye Arena. I say ‘should be’ because of the National Duals, which have yet to be announced. The Hawkeyes and Huskers are scheduled to square off at 2 p.m., with the dual streaming on BTN Plus.
Those five seniors will be recognized following the dual, which features a few key matchups that’ll affect postseason seeding. No. 4 Sammy Brooks gets No. 3 T.J. Dudley — they’re 2-2 against each other, with the last meeting coming when Brooks downed Dudley in last year’s Big Ten Tournament final. No. 2 Michael Kemerer gets No. 3 Tyler Berger as well. Brooks didn’t wrestle in Friday’s win over Indiana, nor did Cory Clark.
Expect to see No. 3 Clark make his return to the lineup against No. 4 Eric Montoya, whom he’s 2-0 against in his career. A win would give Clark a 33-1 record inside Carver. For reference, Gilman’s 29-3, Carton 8-3, Meyer 22-4, and Brooks 19-6.
How to Stream and Follow, Lineups
You guys know the drill by now — BTN Plus for the stream (so jealous of you students that get this free on campus wifi), Grace and Ironside on the Hawkeye Radio Network, and the Twitter accounts below. Let’s put a nice bow on the regular season before tournament time, sound good?
