Turner was one of the last of Iowa’s recruits to be lured to the Hawkeye State by Eno Benjamin, but unlike many of the others, Turner stuck with his commitment.
Turner was a highly recruited defensive back, receiving offers from 21 schools other than Iowa, including Wisconsin, Purdue, Boston College, Army, and South Florida. So while he wasn’t being courted by the likes of Ohio State and Alabama, the kid had some serious offers from some pretty good schools.
