Djimon Colbert is officially a Hawkeye after signing his National Letter of Intent today! He chose the Hawkeyes over offers from Kansas and Nebraska, while also receiving interest from Mizzou, Iowa State, Wisconsin, and Minnesota. He committed to the Hawkeyes way back in March of 2016.
Offering Colbert was the first order of business for Kelvin Bell back when he started his new job as recruiting coordinator. 247 sports has him listed as a four-star prospect and their composite rankings list him as the second best player in Kansas. He is a former high school teammate of current Hawkeye Aaron Mends.
