There was never any doubt here. A.J. Epenesa is a Hawkeye, just like his dad. The Army All-American signed his National Letter of Intent to play for Iowa today, choosing the Hawks over a plethora of other offers, including some from Alabama, Florida State, Notre Dame, Oregon, USC, Oklahoma, and plenty of others from outside the conference. The schools that offered him from within the conference consisted of Illinois, Purdue, Michigan, Michigan State, Ohio State, Wisconsin, Nebraska, and Indiana.
Despite being offered by just about every school in existence, it has always been pretty obvious that Epenesa never wanted to be anything but a Hawkeye.
