It’s been an interesting road for Daviyon Nixon. As you’ll recall, he originally signed with Iowa back in February, with the intention of enrolling in the fall. He was originally committed to Northern Illinois, but flipped his commitment late in the game.
That June, the Iowa staff and Nixon learned that he’d be academically ineligible for the upcoming season. He enrolled in Iowa Western Community College to keep his speed, and now he’s finally a Hawk.

Nixon’s road to Iowa was not without its bumps aside from academics. Back in October we learned a few other schools were interested in Nixon. Namely, Alabama. And not all those schools exactly like to play by the rules on the recruiting trail.
Anyway, it’s official now, and Nixon is going to be in the Black and Gold.
