There was some drama as to where Shannon was heading leading up to signing day, but the three-star DT out of Illinois stuck with his second commitment and will don the Black and Gold.
Shannon was recently named Player of the Year by a local paper, citing his 8 sacks, 10 tackles for a loss and 77 total tackles for a team that made it to the 8A quarterfinals in Illinois.
