Iowa Hawkeyes in the NFL: Marshall Koehn scored!

A relatively quiet week of Hawkeyes NFL action was highlighted by one of our favorite kickers suiting up and contributing.

NCAA Football: Big Ten Championship-Iowa vs Michigan State Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

You know when there is a kicker in the headline, it had to have been a piss-poor week of productive for your favorite former Hawkeyes in the NFL over the weekend. I couldn’t even find a single photo of Marshall Koehn wearing the uniform of the NFL team he currently plays for.

Grab your coffee. Here we go.

Marshall Koehn, Kicker, Cincinnati Bengals

Koehn got the call for the Bengals this weekend, and he didn’t disappoint. He had one extra-point attempt and drilled that sum’bitch straight through the uprights. Cincinnati lost to the Jacksonville Jaguars, 23-7.

Karl Klug, Defensive Lineman, Tennessee Titans

Klug got in on two tackles and had one half of a sack in Tennessee’s 23-20 win over the Baltimore Ravens.

Adrian Clayborn, Defensive Lineman, Atlanta Falcons

Clayborn logged two tackles in Atlanta’s 20-17 loss to the Carolina Panthers.

C.J. Beathard, Quarterback, San Francisco 49ers

With Jimmy Garoppolo not yet familiar with the playbook, Beathard got the start. He went 24 of 51 for 294 yards and one interception in San Fran’s 20-10 loss to the Arizona Cardinals.

George Kittle, Tight End, San Francisco 49ers

Kittle caught three of Beathard’s passes for 27 yards.

Anthony Hitchens, Linebacker, Dallas Cowboys

Hitchens logged four tackles in Dallas’ 28-17 win over the Kansas City Chiefs.

Mike Daniels, Defensive Lineman, Green Bay Packers

Daniels got in on two tackles in Green Bay’s 30-17 loss to the Detroit Lions.

Micah Hyde, Defensive Back, Buffalo Bills

In some pretty cool news, Hyde was named the NFL’s Defensive Player of the Month for October. The honor was well deserved, as he picked off four passes, knocked away six more and logged 22 total tackles to help the Bill finish 3-1 during the month.

Unfortunately, Buffalo dropped its first contest of the month of November to the Jets this past Thursday night by a score of 34-21. Hyde did log five tackles in the loss.
