Between Turkey Day and the Black Friday beatdown of the Huskers, it was certainly a festive weekend for Iowa fans. As usual, your favorite former Hawkeyes worked their way into the box scores of the respective games they played in over the long weekend. All in all, another quiet week. That said, a couple of guys made some serious noise.
Desmond King, Defensive Back, Los Angeles Chargers
If you were watching football on Thanksgiving day (and why wouldn’t you be?) you saw King essentially finish off the Dallas Cowboys by picking off a Dak Prescott pass and taking it 90 yards to the house.

That play put the Chargers up 28-6, which would eventually be the final score. In addition to the pick six, Desmond got in on three tackles, defended a pass and returned a kickoff for 16 yards.
After the game, the social media universe reminded us all that Desmond had prophetically called his shot back in April:
My first INT will be a pick 6 I'm calling it now

Congrats on a career milestone, Desmond!
Anthony Hitchens, Linebacker, Dallas Cowboys
Hitchens was one of a few bright spots for the Cowboys in the loss to the Chargers. He was able to get in on seven total tackles in his team’s losing effort.
Christian Kirksey, Linebacker, Cleveland Browns
Kirksey had a relatively quiet day compared to the numbers he normally puts up. He was able to log five total tackles in Cleveland’s 30-16 loss to the Cincinnati Bengals.
Karl Klug, Defensive Lineman, Tennessee Titans
Somehow, Klug always seems to wiggle his way into Tennessee's box score. He logged a tackle in a 20-16 win over the Indianapolis Colts.
Micah Hyde, Defensive Back, Buffalo Bills
Hyde was part of a Buffalo defensive backfield that held the Chiefs under 200 yards passing on the day. He was able to defend a pass in a 16-10 Bills win.
C.J. Beathard, Quarterback, San Francisco 49ers
C.J. struggled in his start against the Seattle Seahawks. He went 22 of 38 for 201 yards and an interception while rushing for 21 yards on six carries. He was injured and had to leave the game in the fourth quarter.
George Kittle, Tight End, San Francisco 49ers
George was once again not a big part of the plan on offense. He caught one pass for 14 yards.
Mike Daniels, Defensive Lineman, Green Bay Packers
Mike had a pretty solid day, albeit in a losing effort Sunday night against the Steelers in Pittsburgh. He got in on seven total tackles and logged a sack in the 31-28 loss.
C.J. Fiedorowicz, Tight End, Houston Texans
C.J. hauled in four passes for 37 yards in Houston’s 23-16 loss to the Baltimore Ravens on Monday Night Football. On a positive note, it appears the Texans are making a concerted effort to get him the ball, as he was targeted nine times.
