Running back commit Henry Geil finished out his high school career strong. He tallied 68 yards on 20 carries (3.4 YPC) on Friday, but is wasn’t enough as his Green Bay Preble Hornets fell 42-7 to Appleton North in the first round of the playoffs. The loss brings Geil’s high school career to a close. Preble finishes the year 6-4. Geils finishes with 1,479 rushing yards and 16 TDs on 224 carries for an average of 6.6 yards per carry.

Offensive tackle commit Jack Plumb, who plays tight end for his Bay Port high school team, hauled in 2 catches for 43 yards as Bay Port took down Eau Claire Memorial 42-21 on Friday. The win came in the first round of the Wisconsin playoffs. Bay Port moves to 10-0 on the year with the win and will advance to face off with Stevens Point this week. Wide receiver commit Tyrone Tracy had one of the most ridiculous performances of his amazing senior season on Friday. He finished with 315 rushing yards and 3 TDs on 13 carries for an absurd 24.2 yards per carry average. He also added 5 catches for 75 receiving yards and another TD through the air. The performance helped boost Decatur Central past Plainfield 41-20 in the first round of the 5A sectionals.

Through 10 games, including this week’s playoff victory, Tracy now has 1,267 rushing yards and 10 TDs on 110 carries (an average of 11.5 YPC) as well as 954 receiving yards and 13 TDs on 47 catches (20.3 YPC).

Anthony Torres, who remains out due to an undisclosed injury, and Mishawaka Penn were also off last week. On the year, Roberts now has 770 yards and 10 touchdowns on 24 catches for an average of 32.1 yards per reception. On the defensive side of the ball, he has 6 tackles and 2 interceptions. With the win Cathedral Prep moved to 9-0. They will take on Canisius of Buffalo, NY this Friday.
Samson Evans

Dillon Doyle
