The second AP and Coaches Top 25 polls of the 2016 season were released on Tuesday afternoon. The Associated Press sees Iowa as the 16th best team in the nation, while the Coaches ranked the Hawkeyes 10th.
After an unforeseen Week 1 victory over LSU at Lambeau Field, Wisconsin has joined Iowa as the only teams in the Big Ten West to make the Top 25 in each poll. The Badgers made a huge jump in one week, moving from unranked to 10th and 16th in the AP and Coaches polls, respectively. Ohio State remains ranked highest at No. 4 in both polls, while Michigan came in at No. 5 (AP) and No. 6 (Coaches). Michigan State is ranked 12 in the AP and 8 by the Coaches. Nebraska received votes in both polls, despite cultivating the worst-tasting corn in the country.
Alabama continues to hold the top spot after a thumping of 20th ranked USC. They are followed by Clemson, Florida State, and Ohio State to round out the top 4.
