Welcome to the second half game thread!
The Hawkeyes completely owned the first quarter and jumped out to an early lead of 21-0, behind the strength of a couple very opportunistic turnovers and some huge rushes from LeShun Daniels and Akrum Wadley, who had two touchdowns and one touchdown, respectively.
The second quarter started with a quick Miami touchdown, and it looked like Miami was going to do whatever they wanted on offense (including turn it over), but the Hawkeyes were able to answer with a score after a questionable call allowed them to keep the ball inside the 5-yard line and hold the RedHawks to that one score for the rest of the half.
Let’s see what happens in the second half. 28-7 at the half.
