Football’s back. Back again. Football’s back. Tell a friend.

I’m not sure what to say to preface this game that hasn’t already been said. I’m just really excited for football to be back.

Iowa should have the better team in this matchup. It’s not even close on paper, but there’s a reason we play the game. To win, the Hawks are going to need to play mistake-free football, which is basically Kirk Ferentz’s motto anyway. I don’t think Miami is going to overpower Iowa, and I don’t think they’re going to bully Iowa, either. The key will be whether or not Iowa can limit the big play. Miami has some talented players, but those same players are also very inexperienced. If Iowa jumps out to a lead, they need to see what toys they have, and how ready those toys are for the big match-ups this season. I’m ready to find out where this new Iowa team stands.

2:30pm, ESPNU and WatchESPN. Iowa Hawkeyes take on the Miami RedHawks in Kinnick Stadium.

Usual rules apply. No illegal streams, no slurs, politics, religion, or porn. Play nice.

Let’s go.
