It’s Week 3 of college football! The games this week aren’t complete trash like they were last weekend! Most importantly, Iowa faces what should be its toughest competition of the year thus far in North Dakota State. Yes, an FCS team is their toughest opponent yet. No, I am not kidding.
The Hawkeyes are coming off an absolute brutal beat down of the Cyclones on primetime television, where they were up 42-3 after three quarters and then let their backups play the majority of the 4th. The offense was once again dominant, the defense found itself after a paltry Week 1, and Hawkeye fans everywhere are happy.
On the other end of things, the North Dakota State Bison have been taken to OT in their first two games of the season, where they have won both. A 2-0 record looks nice, but it’s not exactly the dominant start that the five-time defending FCS Champions wanted to start the season. They’ll look to get back to their old form against the Hawkeyes in Week 3.
An often-cited note for you on the Bison: they have won their last five games against FBS competition, with wins over Iowa State, Kansas State, Minnesota, Kansas, and Colorado State. Their last FBS loss was handed to them by the Cyclones back in 2009, before they became a powerhouse.
ANYWAY, to the stuff you care about:
