The first AP Top 25 poll of the 2016 season was released Sunday morning, with Iowa making the cut at No. 17.

The Hawkeyes are the only team in the Big Ten West to make the AP’s preseason list, and the fourth Big Ten team overall. Ohio State is ranked highest at No. 6, with the fighting Harbaughs of Michigan at No. 7. Michigan State is ranked 12th. Wisconsin is listed in the ‘others receiving votes’ category, as is Northwestern, for some reason.

Alabama is ranked in the top spot, followed by Clemson. Oklahoma, Florida State, and LSU round out the top 5.
