2016 NBA DRAFT OPEN THREAD

Come for the fashion, stay for the head-scratching picks!

Jerry Lai-USA TODAY Sports

The NBA season just got over (literally -- it just ended Sunday night!), but the NBA Draft is already upon us. No bloated pre-draft process here!  (Take note, NFL.)

As Iowa fans, we care about the NBA Draft this year because we're hoping (expecting, really) to see an Iowa player get drafted for the third straight year.  In 2014, Roy Devyn Marble ended Iowa's (very very very) long drought of having a player selected in the NBA Draft when he was taken in the second round by the Orlando Magic.  Last year, in 2015, Aaron White made it two years in a row that an Iowa player was drafted when he was taken in the second round by the Washington Wizards.

This year we're expecting to hear Jarrod Uthoff's name called after his sensational senior season.  The consensus among draft experts is that he will get drafted (which was not necessarily the case for either Marble or White), but there's not much consensus about where he could go. Some have had him has high as a late first round pick; some have had him as low as a late second round pick.  Uthoff going in the second round seems to be the safest choice, but time will tell.

The NBA Draft is televised by ESPN (and online at WatchESPN) and begins at 6 PM CT.

The usual rules apply.
