Iowa is going back to Tampa to take on Florida in the 2017 Outback Bowl.

Leading up to the week many thought we were going to Nashville or San Diego, but that’s not the case. I suppose we all should have seen this coming. Iowa was just in the Outback Bowl against LSU in 2014.
Some of you might be a little upset that Iowa isn’t going to Nashville (myself included, I was toying with the idea of taking my first ever trip to Cashville if Iowa went) but the Outback is undeniably just as prestigious? Anyway it doesn’t snow in Florida so just be happy it’s a warm destination.
And let’s not forget the game itself! Florida! They’re pretty good, and this should be a fun matchup. I don’t know the number from Vegas yet, but take the under.
Kirk Ferentz doesn’t have the greatest bowl record (6-7), and Iowa’s last postseason win was in 2011 when the Hawkeyes beat Blaine Gabbert in the Insight Bowl. And we’re not going to talk about what happened last year in Pasadena.
Anyway, here’s a link to buy tickets. Nine wins would be pretty dope, and I’m of the belief that a bowl win this year is the best way to put any sort of validation on this roller coaster of a year in Hawkeyeland.
What say you, friends of The Pants?
