College Football Playoff 2016 selection show: Start time, TV schedule, and live stream info

Nashville or San Diego?

NCAA Football: Big Ten Championship-Wisconsin vs Penn State Brian Spurlock-USA TODAY Sports

After plundering Wisconsin last night, Penn State has made the case as to why it should be the last team to make the college football playoff, with Washington, Alabama and Clemson presumably filling out the other three spots.

However, we already know that to the behest of Penn State fans, Ohio State has more or less secured its place in the CFP for the second time in three years.

Personally, I believe Ohio State should get in, and I think they will get in. This year’s selection is not without controversy, but I think most can agree that Ohio State has a better chance against any of the three aforementioned teams than Penn State, and that’s all that really matters in my eyes.

Anyway let’s talk Iowa. Most of my interneting this morning tells me Iowa is going to the Holiday Bowl. Great! San Diego is quite possibly the best city in America, and the Holiday Bowl is pretty prestigious. Some people want the Music City Bowl for selfish reasons, and that’s fine too, since I hear Nashville is great, and it’s drivable from the Midwest. The Music City Bowl, however, undoubtedly comes with a lesser opponent and without the glitz and glamour of the Holiday Bowl.

The selection show starts at 11; I imagine we’ll know our destination around 2 or so? Stay tuned over here, we’ll keep you up to speed.
