If you are still alive after last night, enjoy some college football this weekend while you wait on your commemorative DVD to arive!

Baseball season is officially over. What on earth will everyone watch until the wee morning hours now? It’s still too early for you to have received your commemorative DVD recapping the Chicago Cubs’ historic run to the World Series Championship, so I guess for now you’ll have to settle for football.

This is kind of a strange week of games. In fact, you may have missed the fact that the week already started. And with a ranked team, no less. That’s right, your Western Michigan Broncos destroyed Ball State already this week. On Tuesday. Not sure what genius scheduled a college football game on a Tuesday and decided to also do that opposite a World Series game, but it happened. And I’m sure all of you were constantly flipping back and forth between game 7 last night and the Toledo/Akron game. It was a barnburner.

There’s a handful of games tonight, including a pair including top 25 teams. At 6:30 CT you have #14 Oklahoma at Iowa State on ESPN. That should end well. At 8 CT you can catch #15 Colorado hosting UCLA on FS1.

The ball keeps rolling, or bouncing, or whatever footballs do, on Friday night. At 6 CT you can watch Temple at UConn on ESPN2 (and I know you will). That’s followed by #24 Boise State at home against San Jose State at 9:15 CT, also on ESPN2.

Miami v Notre Dame
Why wouldn’t Notre Dame play Navy in Jacksonville at 10:30 in the morning?

Saturday morning gets started early as Notre Dame hosts Navy at 10:30am CT on CBS. That game is, of course, being played in Jacksonville, Florida. In the 11am CT timeslot, you have #9 Auburn hosting Vanderbilt on ESPN, #4 Texas A&M at Mississippi State on the SEC Network, #7 Louisville at BC on ESPN2, Michigan State at Illinois on ESPN News, Indiana at Rutgers is on BTN and #8 Wisconsin is at Northwestern on ABC.

In the 2:30pm CT timeslot you can catch TCU at #17 Baylor on FOX, #11 Florida at Arkansas on CBS and Oregon State at Stanford on FS1. ABC has Syracuse at #2 Clemson mirrored with #18 Oklahoma State at Kansas State on ESPN2. #19 Virginia Tech is at Duke on ESPNU, #3 Michigan is playing host to Maryland on ESPN and Purdue is at Minnesota on BTN.

The evening games kick off with Oregon at USC on ESPN at 6pm CT. Over on ESPNU you can watch #22 Florida State at NC State and Kansas is at #20 West Virginia on ESPN2.

Of course, the Hakweyes look to salvage this season at #12 Penn State at 6:30pm CT on BTN. I’m not holding my breath.

There are a pair of primetime games this week, which is kind of nice. #1 Alabama is at #13 LSU on CBS at 7 CT. Over on ABC #10 Nebraska is at #6 Ohio State. Both should be a good watch.

Your weekly Pac 12 After Dark showdown is #5 Washington (am I alone in thinking they should be in the top 4?) at Cal on ESPN at 9:30 CT.

This is not the can of beer I will be enjoying Saturday, but it’s close.

This week, I’m giving up on the prior trend of enjoying a brew from the opponents home state. Obviously, the football Gods (KF, AIRBHG, GDGD) changed course and no longer values that kind of effort. Instead, this week I’ll being giving a nod to my North Side friends and enjoying* a few Old Styles. Embrace it Cubs fans, you earned it.

* Enjoying is a stretch, I will be drinking them.

As always, you can find EVERY game on the docket for the weekend below. Reminder of the usual disclaimer, this table is created by the SB Nation crew, not us, so the times listed below are EASTERN.
