Happy homecoming to all of the Iowa alumni that are coming back to Iowa City for this week’s game! This week, the Iowa Hawkeyes take on the Northwestern Wildcats, and neither team has been as dominant as they’ve been expected to be so far this season. Two teams that were expected to compete for the Big Ten West title, Iowa is 3-1 but has looked very lackluster on their way to that record, while Northwestern is 1-3, and have also looked very poor thus far this season. Northwestern needs this game in order to return home with some idea of what their identity is, while the Hawkeyes are looking to show that they belong at the top of the division this season by beating up on a Wildcats defense that didn’t quite show up last weekend against Nebraska.
