FOOTBALL SEASON HAS ARRIVED, SO HERE'S KIRK FERENTZ NESTING ON EGGS

Nesting: the most developmental program of all.

Big Ten Network

It wouldn't be a football season in the Big Ten without the BTN coming up with a new, all-encompassing ad campaign involving all of the head coaches. And lord, there are going to be some coaches wishing for the simpler times of 2007.

This year is a series of 15-second vignettes of coaches firmly immersed in their program identities, often to uncomfortable degrees, and—okay, look, we're not going to dance around this or try to ease you into it: Kirk Ferentz sits in a giant nest and stares at you.

At least he's happy about it?

The full 13-video playlist is available to watch in order here. There's no Illinois/Tim Beckman one, which is a tragedy—you know they filmed one—but there are a couple that are pretty great, if not "Kirk Ferentz in a literal hawk's nest" great.

This is happening.

"Now, I believe you were saying something about me, university officials?"

[pushes glasses up] EXCUSE ME BUT THERE IS A CONTINUITY ERROR, THE HYPHENS WEREN'T THERE AT FIRST, THIS IS ALL STAGED BY THE ILLUMINATI

Please tell me there's an extended director's cut where Riley plays a little "one for you, one for me."

Anyway, welcome back, football season. You've been missed.
