Here is basically the only thing you need to know about Iowa's turn at the Big Ten Media Days this year:
[UPDATE: I'm told the embed is not showing up in mobile. Here's a direct link to ESPN's video.]
That's Drew Ott. That's a raw egg in its shell. That's said egg going into Mr. Ott's mouth and sir what are you—oh god—no that's not how you egg—oh god.
Kirk Ferentz also made a presser appearance at which he told reporters basically nothing he hadn't said before already in the offseason. They like C.J. Beathard, it was Jake Rudock's decision to go and they helped him all the way, Bo Bower is at Will because they like Ben Niemann more on the outside, and Jake Duzey won't be ready to go by Week 1. Okay, fine.
That might come off as a complaint, but it was a very ordinary press appearance for Ferentz, and that really is just fine. The only memorable performance by any of the coaches at the podium was Tim Beckman, and that... that was not good.
So we'll take the alternative to THAT every time.
That being said, Kirk Ferentz should have eaten a whole raw egg. Go B1G or go home.
Just showed Urban Meyer the Drew Ott video. His reaction: "Why?"
