IOWA FOOTBALL CONCLUDES SPRING PRACTICE WITH THE ANNUAL SCRIMMAGE TODAY. If you're headed to Kinnick, take note, Iowa has cancelled several pregame activities due to weather. The scrimmage is still set for 1:00 PM CST. If you can't make it, watch the scrimmage on BTN2Go or follow along on BHGP with RossWB's open thread to publish later.
WELL, THE WEATHER CHANGES THINGS. As if we would learn a ton today anyway, but this certainly doesn't help. Perhaps, we'll see plenty of Derrick Mitchell and Akrum Wadley today. Ferentz doesn't want to lose anyone to injury. Speaking of injury, we'll find out how long Jake Duzey will miss from Ferentz today. Rivals says he has a partially torn patella tendon and will have surgery Monday.
KEEP AN EYE ON THE OL. Ferentz mentioned Cole Croston in the link above. He's been working at right tackle with Boettger moving inside to guard. It's time to experiment and find something that works. Also, look to see if there's been a change in the wide receiver group. From one of last week's practice pics, it looked like Josh Jackson made the move from defensive back to wide receiver. Another rumor has Jalen Embry back on the team this summer and maybe Jackson makes a move since Embry provides DB depth.
