WE GOT OUR FIRST GLIMPSE OF THE 2015 HAWKEYES. I have a lot of my thoughts on a podcast here. Iowa has seniors on the defensive side that over-matched new faces on the offensive side. Iowa also lacks explosiveness at the skill positions. That showed up Saturday. Why a podcast? Well, it's an hour long of rambling and that's easier than typing 10,000 words.
THERE'S PLENTY OF MEDIA COVERAGE. Where to begin? How about pics of the practice event? And Video? There's ton of video. Let's start with Hawkeye Sports dot com. There's also video from Rivals dot com. And finally, our pal Mas Casa has video of the linemen getting after it during some position work. Personally, these Morehouse vids are always my favorite. I know I don't have to pay attention to this portion of the practice and can watch wide receivers and quarterbacks. Also, this year, the focus is offensive tackle and we get a good shot of them in action.
THERE'S PLENTY OF PLAYER VIDEO TOO. Again, our friend Morehouse caught post-practice talk with Jordan Canzeri, Marshall Koehn, Ike Boettger, Austin Blythe, Josey Jewell and Drew Ott. The defensive guys were all smiles. Offensive players, not so much.
