BIG TEN TOURNAMENT: DAY ONE GAME THREAD

The Big Ten Tournament gets underway...

The five-day incarnation of the Big Ten Tournament officially gets underway this afternoon and while Iowa isn't involved in the opening action (thank god), there is one game of considerable interest to us today: Penn State versus Nebraska.  Iowa will play the winner of that game at approximately 1:30 PM CT on BTN.  Will we get a third tilt with the Cornhuskers?  Or a second dance with a Penn State team that came as close as any team to ending Iowa's current 6-game winning streak?  We'll know more in a few hours.

The nightcap is Minnesota vs Rutgers which is... a game of basketball that will be played.  Yes.  That's about as much as we can say about that.

SCHEDULE

#12 Nebraska (13-17, 5-13) vs #13 Penn State (16-15, 4-14) (3:30 PM CT, ESPN2)
#11 Minnesota (17-14, 6-12( vs #14 Rutgers (10-21, 2-16) (6:00 PM CT, BTN)

The usual rules apply.
