FRAN SPEAKS! Iowa Men's Basketball coach Fran McCaffery spoke to the media yesterday. He discussed Adam Woodbury, of course. He also talked Iowa's next opponent Minnesota. Scott Dochterman's piece has three videos of the weekly press conference. There's also a transcript.
Fran is who he is and he'll back his players, he says. And don't ask about officiating? Here's part one:
WOODBURY SAYS IT WAS JUST AN ACCIDENT. He's going to try and change his defensive approach going forward. He's going to take it one game at a time and with the Good Lord willing, things will work out.
WOODBURY IS AN IMPORTANT PIECE. Tonight's a rematch of a rivalry game in which Iowa got a last second hoop from Jarrod Uthoff at Minnesota. Iowa is favored by six at home. Minnesota has won four of their last six.
THERE'S AN EVEN BIGGER GAME TONIGHT. Keep it tuned after the men win to the BTN for the women's turn.

IT'S THE REMATCH. Iowa finally got off the schneid against the Huskers in their last meeting in Carver. The Huskers had won the previous eight in a row against Iowa. Both teams are ranked in the Top 25 and likely tournament bound. Iowa is still in the hunt for a conference crown at (10-2) in the league but sit 2.5 games behind Maryland at (13-0).
IOWA SHRINE BOWL ROSTERS ANNOUNCED. The annual state of Iowa summer football all-star rosters were announced and a few of Iowa's incoming class were selected. Ryan Boyle, Jacob Newborg and the Paulsen twins made the list.
