HAWKEYE FANS HEADING TO INDIANAPOLIS: WHAT TO DO

Heading to the Big Ten Championship Game? Here's some activities to do before the game.

Reese Strickland-USA TODAY Sports

WHAT TO WEAR? Are you Black or Gold? The University of Iowa is attempting to stripe out Lucas Oil Stadium by asking fans in even sections to be bold and wear gold. If you're an odd, wear black. Your favorite Slayer t-shirt works too.

Iowa created a website called hawkeyesinindy.com that provides links to local joints and even recommedations from former Hawkeye and Indianapolis Colt Pat Angerer. Pat lists St. Elmo's Steakhouse and Long's Bakery as a couple of stops. The address and info is in there.

There's also Big Ten Fanfest (presented by Dr Pepper) taking place at the Indiana Convention Center. The event happens both Friday night and Saturday prior to the game. You can also get RV info if you're traveling in style within this link.

We get a Welcoming Party hosted by BravoSports Marketing at the Cadillac Ranch. There's a cover charge but also a mechanical bull. On Saturday the party continues right up until the Hawkeye Huddle.

SATURDAY. Start things off by booing Kirk Herbstreit and Paul Finebaum as ESPN's Gameday will be live from Indy.

I have my sign ready, how about you?

The Big Ten Network will also be on site to provide a few hours of pregame but the set will likely be inside the stadium.

HUDDLE UP. Get together with fellow fans for beer, band and everything Hawkeye from 4:30-6:30 pm  before the game.

GAMETIME. The field is ready:

FINALLY. Win and we dance.
