Comfortably NUmb?

Aw hamburgers.
Aw hamburgers.

Iowa is, of course, off on bye this week, but college football's schedule marches onward all the same.  It's not a great slate of games, but it is college football.  Three months from now we'll miss it terribly.    The lone Big Ten game is reeling Northwestern voyaging to Lincoln to face a Nebraska team still a game under .500.  That game doesn't have a lot of impact on Iowa (the Hawkeyes have a two-game lead on both teams, plus a head-to-head tiebreaker on Northwestern), so root for whatever you like.  More Northwestern misery?  Sure why not!  Another gut-punch Nebraska loss?  Bring it on!  A win for Northwestern probably helps Iowa a bit more since it keeps Iowa's own win over them looking good, so root that way if you feel so inclined.

Outside the Big Ten, Baylor-Iowa State is expected to be a rain-slogged affair... but Baylor will still probably drop 50 points on them.  (In the first half.)  Meanwhile, desperate Auburn plays desperate Arkansas and Clemson takes on Miami in a kinda-sorta-maybe interesting game.
