This is a damn fine slate of afternoon games. The highlight -- Big Ten and otherwise -- is Michigan State-Michigan, which could finally expose Sparty for the paper tigers that they've been all year or bring the Michigan hype balloon crashing back to earth. If nothing else, it should be an intriguing showdown in a rivalry that's produced some very good games in recent years. Meanwhile, if quirky trophies are your bag, Nebraska-Minnesota has you covered. And Rutgers-Indiana is... no. Just no. No one needs to watch that this week.
Outside the Big Ten, Alabama-Texas A&M is a big showdown that could either take Alabama all but out of the national title hunt or take some of the wind out of Texas A&M's sails. Oklahoma-Kansas State holds a little intrigue as well, thanks to Oklahoma's crash last week and Kansas State's almost-got-im loss to TCU -- who rebounds better this week?
