The Iowa game is in the books, but there's still a lot more football to go today -- including some very key games in the Big Ten West race. Wisconsin is taking on Nebraska in Lincoln... and one of those teams is going to end the day 0-2 and all but out of the Big Ten West title race. It might be better for Iowa if Wisconsin eats another loss already -- coupled with Iowa's head-to-head tiebreaker over the the Badgers, it could give the Hawkeyes a very formidable lead on Wisconsin -- but there's never anything wrong with Nebraska losing, either. Can Joel Stave throw a hail mary? Let's find out!
The other key Big Ten game of the day is Northwestern's trip to Michigan. Michigan has rebounded well from their opening week loss and looked better and better every week. Northwestern stunned the world with their opening week win over Stanford and has just kept on winning -- and shutting teams down defensively. A Michigan win would help Iowa in the Big Ten West race, although a Northwestern win would set up a massive Iowa-Northwestern tilt next week.
Outside the Big Ten, Tennessee takes on Georgia in a battle of two utterly despondent fanbases. Which fanbase hates will be even more inconsolable by the end of the day? Let's find out! And Navy and Notre Dame renew their annual rivalry -- go Middies! Also, Clemson tries to avoid a letdown against Georgia Tech and Iowa State heads to Lubbock for... well, probably a lot of points. That seems like a safe bet, right?
