THE FINAL CUTS WERE MADE OVER THE WEEKEND. If you watch Hard Knocks on HBO, you saw Pat Angerer receive the news from the Atlanta Falcons. Some other Hawks that became free agents are:
- Julian Vandervelde
- Ricky Stanzi
- Brett Van Sloten
- Adam Gettis
- Marvin McNutt
- Tanner Miller
- Casey Kreiter
- Conor Bofelli
SOME WERE CUT BUT MADE IT TO THE PRACTICE SQUAD. Linebacker A.J. Edds was cut by the Jets but resigned a day later. The Vikings cut Allen Reisner and the New England Patriots picked him up. The Patriots also put James Morris on injured reserve.
LET'S SEE WHAT TWITTER SAYS ABOUT THE FORMER HAWKS IN THE NFL.
#Packers safety Tanner Miller has been cut. So far, no indication of whether he'll be added to the practice squad if he clears waivers.

Shaun Prater said he's only been used on individual reps at safety. Never played the position but comfortable in Zimmer's scheme #Vikings

Another guy to watch in the opener: Packers DL Mike Daniels. Tremendous pass rush/rip move, excellent speed thru gaps. Really good player.

Impressive job by hard-working Karl Klug of showing he needed to be one of 7 D-linemen. Thought he might be squeezed out at start of camp.
