IOWA VS PITT FIRST HALF GAME THREAD

The day after tomorrow.

Reese Strickland-USA TODAY Sports

Last week sucked. Last week was painful. Last week was a scar that won't soon go away. But last week was not the end of the season. Iowa tries to get up off the mat with the first road game of the season; perhaps a trip away from the frustrated and disappointed energy of Iowa City will be what this team needs to rebound.

And I'm also curious. I'm curious to see how this team responds to last week's game and to the negative energy that's surrounded the program all week. The players and coaches definitely seemed to be on edge in their conversations with the media on Tuesday -- will that lead to them coming out fired up and with a chip on their shoulders? Or will they be tight and tentative and too nervous to get into any kind of rhythm?

I'd like to see some reasons to give me hope -- hope for Rudock, hope for this offense, hope for this season. Show me something, Hawkeyes. Please. I want to believe, but after the last few weeks my supply of blind faith is running low. Give me a reason to hope again, Iowa.

The game with Pitt is on ESPNU and begins at 11 AM Central.
