The game started brightly, with a tremendous Mark Weisman kickoff return (!) and a lightning-quick Iowa scoring drive. But UNI answered quickly and Iowa's offense struggled after a turnover on downs in the first quarter. UNI took the lead, 10-7, but Iowa's answered with a TD (after a ridiculously long drive) and a FG to take a 17-13 lead into the second half.
Let's hope for more of the early game Iowa offense in the second half. And, more importantly, let's hope the pass coverage picks up tremendously because it looked very shaky in the first half.
The usual rules apply.
