Sounds like backup QB C.J. Beathard may get a series or two in games. He has looked good behind Jake Rudock. #Hawkeyes

Is this the best OT in the United States of America? Brandon Scherff looks good. #Hawkeyes pic.twitter.com/7DWNOonmee

Concerns about @HawkeyeFootball? Depth at o-line and safety. And is there big-play ability in passing game? Will 3 new LBs be OK? #Hawkeyes

Kicking is concern for #Hawkeyes. 3 guys battling. Have to think at least 1-2 big kicks will be needed for big year. pic.twitter.com/8WPp3THoYl

Desmond King is special. He could be one of the best CBs of the Kirk Ferentz era. #Hawkeyes pic.twitter.com/sr822DIGI7

Always fun to watch Kirk Ferentz coach line play. It's the most fired-up you'll ever see him

Matt Vandeberg just hauled in perfectly thrown bomb from Rudock beating Fleming. For tm that needs to stretch the field - very encouraging
— Dave Revsine (@BTNDaveRevsine) August 19, 2014
I like CJ Beathard a lot. I think Iowa has two nice options at QB

And you can get a full summary of their visit here. TV coverage of their visit airs on BTN at 5 PM CT.
OTHER STUFF. Riley McCarron confirmed on his Facebook page that he did have surgery. His injury is assumed to be the collarbone. McCarron is like out for 6-8 weeks.

DAMOND POWELL IS BACK. Powell appears in yesterday's practice pics. That's good news for his return this season.
