WORLD CUP OPEN THREAD: SATURDAY QUARTERFINALS

Half the quarterfinals are in the books and two historical superpowers (Germany and Brazil) managed to book their places in the semifinals -- will Argentina and The Netherlands join them today?  We'll find out today.  Up first is Leo Messi and the Messiketeers, er, Argentina taking on Belgium, last seen breaking American hearts earlier this week.  The Belgians probably have a better overall team than Argentina, but the Argentinians have Messi... And in the late game, the Cinderella story of the World Cup (Costa Rica) tries to keep the good vibes going against The Netherlands.  That isn't going to be easy.
