IT'S NOT PLAGIARISM IF YOU LINK TO IT: BIG TEN MEDIA DAYS ARE HERE

Football is close. Really close.

BIG TEN MEDIA DAYS KICK OFF TODAY IN CHICAGO. We'll hear from Jim Delany, Kirk Ferentz, Carl Davis, Brandon Scherff and Mark Weisman. There will be Iowa-centric news today. Expect an update from Ferentz on the health of his team and roster moves. Summer message board rumors have Damond Powell injured with a sports hernia. There's also Nic Shimonek transfer rumors and Laron Taylor lighting up his Twitter account (GBG?).

EXPECT SCHERFF TO TALK ABOUT LIFTING, BRO. His lifting video went viral last week. Surely, somebody will ask about it. Carl Davis is going to tweet, so Iowa says. Not sure if that's filtered through the UofI Communications like the newly created Scherff account or not.

ROSS COVERED THE MEDIA'S BIG TEN PICKS. There's also all-Big Ten teams. Scherff is the only offensive player unanimously named to the first team offense. Other Hawkeyes were picked. Carl Davis was selected by six voters on the all-Big Ten defensive team.

PLENTY OF TICKETS STILL AVAILABLE. Gary Barta addressed the ticket situation for the upcoming season last Friday. No home games have sold out yet but Iowa State is close to reaching sell-out status. The "Kinnick experience" has been discussed in the past. It needs to be better if Iowa wants to fill the stadium.

THE TIGERHAWK IS LIT.
