LAST YEAR. During phase one of some upgrades to Kinnick Stadium there were new video boards placed in the North endzone and the south endzone board got some upgrades. This year, the sound system has been upgraded and Kinnick gets a Tigerhawk night light.

The folks at Iowa want to know what tunes we want to hear. Well, how bout it? Here's my submission:
Doubt that one makes it.
THE BIG TEN MEDIA DAYS ARE QUICKLY APPROACHING. That's the kickoff to the season, in terms of the news cycle. Iowa will send Brandon Scherff, Carl Davis and Mark Weisman to Chicago to represent the Hawkeyes. Media Days take place July 28th and 29th.
IOWA HAS A NEW GRAD ASSISTANT. Broderick Binns has been rumored to join the Hawkeye staff in some capacity for a couple months now. His pal, Rafael Eubanks, shared the news on Twitter:
My guy @B_Binns heading down to be a new GA at Iowa. Make sure to teach em how to grow long arms. #GoHawks

REMEMBER WHEN ZACH MCCABE PUNCHED THAT GUY? He entered a not guilty plea in court last week. I have to credit this joke to Hawkize of Twitter: McCabe waits until after his Hawkeye basketball career to not take a charge.
UNDER KIRK FERENTZ. Iowa's season win totals typically depend on Iowa's defense and the ability to stop the run. Over at MGoBlog, they have a breakdown of Big Ten run defenses and predict how teams will fair this season. If Iowa finishes in the middle to lower half, maybe nine wins isn't a reality.
SOMETHING FROM RANDY PETERSON. Hurr Derr blah blah blah.
WE SEE YOU MARSHAL YANDA.
