FINALLY.  Five days after the World Cup kicked off, Team USA is finally getting underway in their first game of the competition.  Up first?  Our old nemesis, Ghana.  Ghana knocked the US out of the World Cup in 2006 and 2010, so there's a bit of unfinished business here.  They're also the "easiest" opponent in the US' brutal group (the other teams are Germany and Portugal), so a win today is likely a must if the US wants to maintain hopes of playing beyond the group stage this year.

The action gets underway at 5 PM CT.

TODAY'S GAMES:

Germany v. Portugal (11 AM CT, ESPN and WatchESPN, Jon Champion & Stewart Robson)
Iran v. Nigeria (2 PM CT, ESPN and WatchESPN, Derek Rae & Efan Ekoku)
Ghana v. USA (5 PM CT, ESPN and WatchESPN, Ian Darke & Taylor Twellman)

The usual rules apply.
