IOWA VS HAMPTON GAME THREAD

When last we saw the Iowa basketball team (in non-exhibition action, at least), Iowa was putting the cap on a miserable closing stretch to the season, losing in OT to Tennessee in one of the First Four games in Dayton. But this is a new year, full of new opportunities. It's time to close the book on last year and look ahead to what this year might bring.

Up first are the Hampton Pirates tonight. The Pirates don't figure to be a big challenge, so it should be a good opportunity for Iowa to work out the kinks, experiment with different rotations, and give some run to guys near the end of the bench.

The game is on ESPN3 (online-only) at 8:30 PM CT.
