EVENING GAMES OPEN THREAD

A good day of football concludes with the best B1G game of the day.

Duane Burleson

Time for the game of the day -- and maybe the game of the year? -- in the Big Ten.  And, no, I'm not talking about Rutgers-Michigan.  Nebraska-Michigan State pits the league's only two halfway-realistic hopes for a College Football Playoff spot, as well as the frontrunners in their respective divisions.  There's a decent chance this is only round one between these teams, with round two coming two months from now in Indianapolis.  Or not.  Either way, this one will be intersting -- if only to see if Sparty has any answers for Ameer Abdullah.

Meanwhile, the rest of the country has a few intriguing games -- LSU-Auburn, Arizona State-USC, UCLA-Utah -- but for the most part tonight seems to be all about Sparty and the Huskers.  Bring it on.
