Northern Illinois At Iowa Game Day Arrest Report

Win or lose, we still booze.

Mike DiNovo-USA TODAY Sports

HERE IT IS. Losing sucks but going to watch your favorite team lose and end up in the slammer sucks even more. It's time for another season of post game arrest reports. The fine folks at the University of Iowa Department of Public Safety continue the tradition of detailed post game arrest reports (thank you, thank you). You can bookmark the link here. Let's review some of the highlights:

THE STATS. It was statistically average day in Iowa City. With the later kickoff and hotter temperatures, there was speculation that the opener would bring more arrests than a typical game day.

UI Police issued the following number of citations

PAULA Citations: 11
Public Urination Citations: 1
Open Container in Public Citations: 28
Public Consumption of Liquor: 0

THE BAR HAS BEEN SET FOR 2013.

Goudie, Samantha Lynne, 22 of Iowa City, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick Stadium at 1321 hours. Goudie was stopped for trying to enter the field. Goudie was unsteady on her feet. Goudie blew .341 PBT.

LIKE IOWA'S BUBBLE SCREEN ATTEMPTS.

Haas, Abigail Elizabeth, 18 of Iowa City, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick Stadium at 1344 hours. Haas was told to leave the area. Haas tried to slip past officers at Gate B. Haas refused PBT.

LIGHTWEIGHT ALERT.

Ringena, Jason Michael 34 of Urbandale, IA for Public Intox and Interference w/Official Acts at Kinnick Stadium at 1425 hours. Ringena refused to give officers identification and threw a bottle on the ground and refused to cooperate. Ringena staggered as he walked and blew .07 PBT.

FOR THOSE ABOUT TO ROCK.

Walter, Leroy Eric, Jr, 20 of Williamsburg, IA for Public Intox at Kinnick Stadium at 1340 hours. Walter was observed stumbling towards officers. Walter admitted drinking and was unsteady on his feet. Walter refused PBT. Walter would not follow instructions and kept saluting the officer.

THIS GUY.

Moore, Brandon J, 19 of Wheaton, IL for Public Intox, Interference w/Official Acts, Possession of Controlled Substance, Paula, Open Container at Melrose/Melrose Cir at 1410 hours. Officers were investigating a disturbance, theft and possible open container. Moore ran from officers. An open bottle of vodka and a plastic baggie containing drugs were found. Moore had bloodshot, watery eyes and an odor of alcohol on his breath.

AND FINALLY.

Bergmann, Benjamin David, 33 of Des Moines, IA for Interference w/Official Acts (2 counts), Public Intox, Escape of Misdemeanant at Kinnick Stadium at 1545 hours. Bergmann was having trouble walking. Bergmann had slurred speech and smelled of ingested alcohol. Bergmann would not provide his ID when asked. Bergmann was placed in the prisoner staging area at the stadium. While dealing with another prisoner, Bergmann charged out of the staging area. Bergmann was taken to the ground and restrained.

There's a handful of others on the UofI Department of Safety website, so check it out.
